At Peak LiLT, LLC, we have achieved success in the treatment of the following conditions:
Lower Back Pain
Lumbar disc injuries, strains/sprains, mild-moderate spinal stenosis (does not work well for severe spinal stenosis).
- Can intractable discogenic back pain be managed by low-level laser therapy without recourse to operative intervention?
- Acute low back pain with radiculopathy: a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study.
- The Use of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) For Musculoskeletal Pain
Neck Pain
Neck disc injuries, whiplash injuries, strains/sprains, mild-moderate spinal stenosis
- Low level laser therapy for patients with cervical disk hernia.
- The Use of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) For Musculoskeletal Pain
- Efficacy of low-level laser therapy in the management of neck pain: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised placebo or active-treatment controlled trials.
Shoulder Pain
Rotator Cuff Strains/tendinitis/tendinopathy, frozen shoulder
Plantarfasciitis
Post-Surgical Treatment
This is an area in which we achieved great success! For the last ten years, we have observed that Low-Intensity Light Therapy treatment following surgical procedures helps reduce swelling, decreases pain levels, improves overall tissue healing, reduces scar tissue formation and results in increased range of motion and function by as much as 30-40% compared to post-surgical recovery without this treatment in the same period of time.
Below are photos of one of our patients following a total knee replacement procedure. The photo on the left was taken at the initiation of light/laser therapy 5 days post-operatively and the photo on the right after just 3 weeks of laser therapy! A picture does speak a thousand words – Bioflex laser therapy works!
Migraine and Sinus Headaches
Low Intensity Laser Therapy has been a proven intervention in helping to reduce and/or eliminate migraine and sinus headaches as well as cervicogenic headaches. Learn more in a recent article by Fred Kahn, MD on managing migraines with LiLT.
We have had success in treating migraine headaches with LiLT. For instance, we treated a 65-year-old woman who had been suffering from moderately severe migraines since she was 5 years old. At the beginning of the treatment, she reported that her migraines were very debilitating, occurring 1-3 times a week and forcing her to lie in a dark room for hours at a time to obtain relief. However, after just 8 weeks of treatment, we were able to reduce her migraine headaches to a very minimal level. In a follow-up interview conducted 3 years later, she reported that the treatments have held and that she only suffers a headache only occasionally. She states she no longer suffers from debilitating migraines!
Sports Injuries
Another area we have been achieving great results is with sports-related injuries, especially acute injuries. We are getting athletes back to their sport faster!

- Photobiomodulation Therapy Improves Performance and Accelerates Recovery of High-Level Rugby Players in Field Test: A Randomized, Crossover, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Clinical Study.
- Photobiomodulation therapy for the improvement of muscular performance and reduction of muscular fatigue associated with exercise in healthy people: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Concussions
Yet another area of great success has been in the utilization of LLLT to heal concussion injuries. We have helped a multitude of different patients recover from mild to moderate concussions resultant from automobile accidents. Their symptoms included “brain fog,” headaches, nausea, facial tingling, fatigue, and mental processing difficulties. All of these patient’s symptoms fully resolved with just 5-8 treatments of LLLT (all patients had acute injuries/we started treatment within 1-2 weeks of their accident. This makes a big difference in the number of treatments required).
Traumatic Brain Injury
We are excited that we have now helped several people recover from a Traumatic Brain Injury with the Bioflex Low Intensity Light/Laser Therapy.
We are utilizing the protocols and parameters laid out by Dr. Fred Kahn, MD in Toronto, Canada as well as Dr. Michael Hamblin and the other research scientists from Harvard’s Wellman Center who have been gathering conclusive evidence for well over a decade as to the efficacy and safety of LLLT in Neurorehabilitation.
If you or anyone you know has suffered from a concussion, TBI or stroke event, we encourage you to read Chapter 4 in The Brain’s Way of Healing by Dr. Norman Doidge to learn more about the success of LLLT in helping people recover from neurological conditions.
We were happy to work with Angela, the amazing woman whom we helped recover from a TBI event. In the video above she describes what happened to her and the symptoms she is still experiencing a year and 5 months after her traumatic brain injury occurred. After 12 weeks of treatment with Low-intensity Light/Laser Therapy, she has made a good recovery with her balance, vision and speech such that she can read large print again as well as be able to be more understandable to others when she speaks. We feel if we had been able to start light therapy treatment with her within the first few months of her TBI we would have achieved even better results for her than we were able to since it had been over a year after her brain injury incident.
